Der Rosenkavalier — Silent Film with Live Orchestra

3DLP supplied cinema projection for a synchronized performance of the 1925 silent film “Der Rosenkavalier” (“The Knight of the Rose”) at Sala Radio in Bucharest on 13 November 2015. The restored film was screened above the National Radio Orchestra as it performed Richard Strauss’s score live under conductor Stefan Geiger. From the technical position behind the audience, the photographs show film images and intertitles held cleanly within the screen while orchestra and projection advanced together through the full-length work.
